What is it about me that made me reject that philosophy then, and continue rejecting it now? And that audacity that I still hold...am I willing to give it up? Should I give it up?

...the thought of a settled, self-serving life scares me. But so does the thought that I might be harboring delusional grandeur.

If I give up the audacity to believe I have the potential to change the world, will I also be giving up my ability to be used to change it?
